Welcome to the Nineteenth Century
A time of sophistication, elegance and new world intelligence. For the first time in centuries that arts have returned full throttle, a new renaissance carving it’s way through literature and galleries all across the globe. The world has been overtaken with the new need for industrialization, steam power now considered the height of fashion, science slowly taking dominance over religion. But beneath the surface of airy artists, aristocrats and fashionable attire lays an aged repression, the poor suffering heavily under growing epidemics, ‘taboos’ and the rules of ‘polite society’ more strongly enforced then in any other period of history, the night filled with people attempting to find the so frowned upon freedom and pleasure.[/size]
For Vampires, the world has never been better, the growth of science and bright writers resulting in all the superstition surrounding their existence being labeled as merely fairytales. For centuries an ancient clan known as the Volturi have been ruling over the vampire world and slowly growing in numbers. But all is not peaceful. The Volturi manor filled with all manner of drama, gossip and political scheming. Many of the members becoming far more dangerously involved with the humans they prey upon, attending extravagant balls, enjoying the arts and growth of the new era. Recently the Clan has been joined by a new visiting face, a doctor with strange amber eyes who preaches a new way of feeding.
Outside of Italy the two remaining Romanians –Vladimir and Stefan are still frantically attempting to regain the seats of power stolen from them millennia’s ago. Slowly they are gaining popularity from a most unexpected source. The Children of the Moon, hunted through Europe to almost the brink of extinction by the Volturi, the majority having fled to safety of America are just as desperate as the Romanians in their desire for revenge.
